WILL I GET LETTERS AFTER MY NAME?

Yes.  The award is formally accredited by the globally recognised regulated UK awarding body, EduQual, as a Level 7 postgraduate qualification.  You would be entitled to use the letters PGCert (Dent Imp) after your name upon successful completion of the program.

WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?

You must be a licensed dentist in Australia with at least 12 months experience in dental practice or hospital.  You must have proof of your Hepatitis B status.

DOES THE PRACTICAL SKILLS WEEK INCLUDE ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD?

The Practical Skills Week includes lunch for each day.  Accommodation is not included.  If you are not familiar with the area, we can advise on suitable local accommodation.

DOES THE COURSE MEET ANY SPECIFIC STANDARDS?

Yes, the course teaches the syllabus approved by the Faculty of General Dental Practice (FGDP) at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.  The PGCert is a formal postgraduate qualification that is accredited by the regulated UK awarding body, EduQual, allowing use of the letters PGCert (Dent Imp) after your name.

WHAT ARE THE COURSE'S AIMS & OBJECTIVES?

Our aim is to take dentists, with little or no previous implant experience, and provide a high level of training to enable these practitioners to safely and confidently provide straightforward implant treatment in their own practice.

WHAT IS THE COST?

The training program costs A$17,300.  The additional treatment costs of the Clinical Cases Module are split between the patient and the dentist.

I ALREADY HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE IN DENTAL IMPLANTOLOGY.  IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR ME?

This course is mainly aimed at dentists with little or no previous experience of dental implantology.  If you are an experienced implant dentist and wish to gain a formally accredited postgraduate qualification, the PGDip could be better suited for you.  

WHAT IS EDUQUAL?

EduQual is a globally recognised regulated UK awarding body, approved by SQA-Accreditation, a globally-recognised national qualifications framework aligned to other recognised frameworks such as the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and the Ofqual Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
